Antioxidants Used for Skin Health
Antioxidants used for skin health delay aging by neutralizing free radicals and protect the skin against environmental damage and oxidative stress. The most commonly used antioxidants for the skin are:
Vitamins:
Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin A (retinol, retinoids), Niacinamide (B3)
Herbal and Natural Antioxidants:
Polyphenols, Resveratrol, Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone), Glutathione
Minerals and Other Components:
Selenium, Zinc, Alpha Lipoic Acid
These antioxidants are generally used in serum or cream form. We recommend applying them in the morning before sunscreen.
